GAMP

Granularity
The size of object that can be exchanged between machines, for example, a file or record.
GRAFCET
The Sequential Function Chart, defined in the original IEC 848 Standard Preparation of function charts for control systems  inherits from the French item GRAFCET.
The current standard is IEC 60848 Ed 2 published in 2002-02 and titled GRAFCET Specification Language for sequential function charts.

Hard-wired
The term is used to describe the connection of physical equipment in the field to a control system. When used in connection with trips it is used to mean the function is performed by relays and not by software.
Hazard
A situation that could occur during the lifetime of a product, system, or plant that has the potential for human injury, damage to property, damage to the environment, or economic loss. [BS 4778]

High Level Language
A programming language such as FORTRAN 77, PASCAL or ADA. The syntax of such languages do not incorporate machine specific details such as processor instruction sets or register allocation.
